The gradation fabric is our original signature material, which has continued for over 20 years.
It is an artistic masterpiece: Omi Chijimi linen from Shiga, hand-crumpled (temomi) and sun-dried, is hand-dyed at a Yuzen dyeing workshop in Kyoto.
Features
Because it is dyed by hand in one go, there are no color seams anywhere in the gradation.
Producing beautiful colors without the overlapping colors turning muddy gray requires a high level of skill.
Although the shape has French sleeves, it covers about half of the upper arms.
With generous body width and tucks under the arms at the sides, it looks neat and streamlined even while being roomy, a two-in-one benefit.
For those new to linen, we also offer a double gauze inner.
